Aha moments, captured. These 33 thought-provoking slices of real life will prompt you to think deeply about topics from gratitude and forgiveness to humor and life lessons of all kinds. Each essay examines some piece of daily life, whether it's about the struggle between logic and emotion on Star Trek or the joy that co-exists with sorrow. Inside these pages, you'll be likely to find a little Christmas spirit, the coolness of making mistkaes (oops! mistakes), and the bittersweet role forgiveness plays in life.
Jennifer captures 2011 - or "2K11" - with an eye toward finding inspiration in the everyday observations of life being lived. Her slice-of-life stories will resonate, prodding you to take a look at your own life and find insights to help you navigate your way. 2K11 is part memoir and part personal growth.
In her role as a personal coach, Jennifer helps clients rediscover themselves - what they value, what they hunger for, what they're truly seeking. She not only encourages them to reach for what they really want out of life, she helps them find the tools and confidence to move forward into their future.
"There's nothing quite like watching someone blossom and grow right before your eyes," she says. "That's probably what I love most about coaching. I love the 'aha' moments of life. I live for the flashes of insight, the intuition that leaves me reeling, the perspective switch that just 'happens,' and the deep and certain understanding that evolves from the whole process."
After picking up a bachelor's degree in English and history from West Virginia Wesleyan College, Jennifer received a master's degree in journalism from West Virginia University.
She also completed coach training with the Coaches Training Institute and is certified to facilitate the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory, The Strength Deployment Inventory, and the Pearson-Marr Archetype Inventory - all tools for learning more about personality, motivational value systems, and the use and understanding of universal archetypes (think "Hero's Journey") in life and society.
Take a walk through 2K11!
